Nikon L35AF2 35 mm Point & Shoot Camera
The L35AF was Nikon's first compact camera with autofocus. It was released in 1983, a few years after Nikon's competitors had opened up the point and shoot market. It was therefore also the first in the L series. It was an immediate hit thanks to its robust design and excellent specification. It has subsequently become a cult classic among collectors.
The L35AF2 was Nikon's second camera in the L series and was an update of the Nikon L35AF/AD with 11 automatic features. It lacked the filter-thread of the earlier model, however, but the lens was now protected by an integrated barrier. It was also known as the One Touch in some territories. A version with an "autodate" function was called the L35AD2.
